You are in charge of creating your own page or half-page in the yearbook! You have a lot of creative freedom, but also a specific structure to follow and info you must include.
Helpful links:
- The yearbook itself: www.schoolannualonline.com
- Smugmug for photos (only for yearbook staff!): link
General things to be aware of:
- Changes cannot be saved by two users on the same page, so don’t work on a page that someone else is also working on! Take turns.
- Photos you choose must be appropriate for a school publication. G rated. You should know what this means: check with a teacher if you are unsure.
What you need to do:
- You must keep the photo of yourself on your page
- Complete the section to identify your dream super power.
- An image of your art from this year
- A selection of your writing– a poem, a paragraph, etc– must be substantial (ie not just ONE six word memoir)
- Upload any images for your page into your OWN FOLDER (ask if you don’t know what this means)
6th & 7th Graders–
-
May include UP TO THREE images, including your background, to place on your pages to showcase what you’re interested in– like a little time capsule of what was important to you this year.
8th Graders–
-
You have a full page! So you can upload tons of pictures, but max fifty– please make them into a collage (there’s a limit on the number of images we can upload to the site). Make it beautiful and a reflection of you and your year.
